DREPTURILE OMULUI ŞI DEMOCRAŢIA DIN PERSPECTIVE JURIDICO-FILOSOFICE

Gheorghe Popa

Abstract

Human rights have always constituted the key element of every state of law and of democracy.
We could not even discuss about a state of law, about a democratic state without making any reference
to human rights, rights that are compulsory to a society.
Viewing the philosophical approach of the human rights concept, philosophers of all times defined the
human rights and the human liberties as being fundamental pillars in founding the society and its respect to each
citizen.
Ancient philosophers and jurists such as Platon, Aristotle, Protagoras approached the human rights
protection as main subject for the actual or future debates.
